Ita Bags
I don't know how to be normal about my favorite characters
For anyone who doesn't know what an ita bag is, please see this page~ Basically a bag shrine to your fave(s) that originated in Japan and was specific to Japanese media for quite a while! Since they've become more popular in the west, the themes have gotten a lot more broad, and have hit the horror movie community as well, haha.
As a result, most of my bags are made using fan made merch. I am interested in making an official merch bag at some point, but that will be a much slower project and the cost is indeed, painful, lmao.
Adam & Amanda Bag
My narratively doomed Gemini twins who assure one another's destruction. The full circle the two of them have between the first and third movies (and a singular deleted scene) wormed itself into my brain and never really let go... so much so I wrote a canon-compliant fic too.
Anyway...
This is my first bag that I still need to "dress up" a bit on the outside. Unfortunately, some of the pins and charms aren't available anymore, since quite a few were part of a fan zine bundle celebrating the first Saw film's 20th anniversary. But if you're interested, many of the listed artists have similar items in their online stores, so make sure to take a look!
Here's a virtual tour that includes sources for all the items!!
Adam Bag
Listen, I had extra merch, what else was I supposed to do with it?
No, but this idea came to me in a fever dream after being told my other bag was too big for the Last Podcast on The Left live show I attended (they let me in anyways lol). So I made this one for events with bag size limits and one of my Halloween Horror Nights trips. The idea of having the bag be Adam's shot shoulder came when I found a tan bag that would fit the theme perfectly. The blood paint I believe has copper in it too, and will slowly oxidize over time into more of a rusty color, which is cool.
It's now become one of my favorite bags for date night because of its size and because it's a funny conversation starter with waitstaff and folks at ticket counters.
**check back for a virtual tour and sources if interested!**
WIP Jean Kirstein / JeanMarco Bag
Listen, AOT has me in a choke hold this time around, and so does Jean's character.
I love how in the early seasons, he really serves as a constant reminder to Eren that there is a real human cost to the violence that makes up the majority of the series. And I just love his character arc through the rest of the show, a real jerkass with a heart of gold, my trope weakness.
Official merch is outrageously expensive, so it'll be slow going, but shout out to my sis for grabbing my first pin at Animate. :) apparently its from a set where the whole AOT cast are hospital themed (doctors, nurses, pharmacists), which is perfect for my medical drama loving ass lol.
